RESPONSIVE SYSTEMS OF SENSORY COMPONENTS (2)

Our aim for the project was to enable the site, 'Hauptplatz' in Graz, Austria, to become a sensory organism that responds to and sensitises its users. We analysed movement through the square and the events that take place year around thereby, identifying a need for transformation. To adapt and evolve and create a world of possibilities within the site, we have used a combination of conceptual and experimental methods to propose sensory systems that we believe could be a staple in future cities. The following is a glimpse into our design process and the directions that we have aligned our outcomes through research by design.
